Coaching
Fall in love with what you do, again.
Musicians are used to trying to succeed no matter the cost.
Long hours of practice, thousands of hours of experience, lessons, rehearsals, competitions, auditions, etc…. You’ve done so much.
But why do so many of us feel like it isn’t enough?
Compared to any other field, we have 10x the experience before we even reach college…
Shouldn’t we have the confidence to match it?
Confidence doesn’t come from experience, it comes from your mindset.
This isn’t done through woo woo positive thinking or empty affirmations.
It is done through long-term dedication to changing your mind, implementing actionable tools, and managing your mind intentionally.
What does this look like? Coaching.
How do we change your mindset?
We break down all the ways you’re thinking and feeling (without judgment).
We look at ALL of it. All the things that you think are normal…
The negative self-talk…
Thinking you’re behind…
Thinking you’re not doing enough…
We change all of that because that will change everything.
We don’t try to put negativity on top of positivity, then our brain just gets confused, rolls its eyes, and goes back to thinking negatively (yes, apparently, your brain has eyes).
When you approach your mindset with neutrality and compassion, you get to enter a world where you create real change in your mindset (instead of judgment).
It is 100% possible to have an amazing relationship with yourself, your instrument, your career, your art, etc.
Imagine what it would be like if you knew how to handle any situation that came your way.
It didn’t matter if you played/did everything perfectly (because that didn’t dictate your emotional well being).
I’m not the coach that will help you achieve perfection.
I’m the coach that will help you find fulfillment, satisfaction, and confidence no matter the circumstance (perfect or not).
This is what actually creates a sustainable career and life in the arts.
Coaching isn’t a quick fix…
I have coached artists and musicians in so many different timelines, what works best? 6 months.
6 months of dedicated, weekly, focused work, to learn and implement all the coaching tools we talk about (there are dozens of concepts and tools to integrate!).
Plus, life happens in 6 months, and you will have support through several ups and downs, so we can put this into practice in real time.
If you’re interested in a focused 1-time session, you can fill out a contact form in the contact page.
Who is coaching for? Short answer: Humans with brains…
Who is my coaching for?
Creative people who want to heal their relationship with themselves and their art.
For people who want to follow through on what they say they want (no more self-sabotage).
People who want to enjoy what they do again. Practicing, performing, and existing as an artist in the world feels more manageable with coaching tools.
Folks who want to get out of their own way, follow through, and figure out a way to live their life that allows them to get back to loving what they do.
Whether this is manifesting as:
Performance anxiety
Imposter syndrome
A lack of motivation
Low self-esteem
etc.
Coaching gives you tools for all of it, because it is all caused by how you are thinking, feeling, and taking action. Once you understand and change this operating system, you won’t feel like you’re fighting yourself.
